About the Artist...Dawn
Hi, I’m Dawn — the hands, heart, and imagination behind DV Jewelry Designs.
Sculpting and designing have always been my favorite ways to express myself. What started as a simple creative outlet has grown into a full-time passion that lets me share a little piece of my world with people all over the globe.
I was born and raised in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, and today I create from my home in Troutman, NC, just outside beautiful Lake Norman. I’m lucky to live close to my family, and their support has played a huge part in my journey.
My business began in 2011, when I finally decided to put my love for sculpting and jewelry into motion. I started out at art festivals, shows, and artisan markets with my one-of-a-kind sterling silver bracelets, rings, and earrings. Those early days helped me build a loyal following, and many customers began requesting custom pieces — something I still truly enjoy.
As my designs evolved, I discovered raw, uncut diamonds and natural gemstones. Their wild, organic beauty immediately captivated me, and they quickly became the foundation of my work. My raw, rough, uncut twig-style engagement ring is still one of my most loved creations.
When DV Jewelry Designs grew beyond what one pair of hands could manage, my daughter Missy joined me. She became my right hand — helping with customers, marketing, and keeping the business flowing so I can focus on what I love most: sculpting, designing, and creating new pieces.
The best part of this journey has been the people. I’m honored when customers share their proposal stories, wedding photos, or anniversary moments with me. Knowing that something I created becomes part of someone’s most meaningful memories is the greatest reward.
Today, I’m constantly exploring new gemstones, moissanite options, and fresh designs — each handmade with the same passion and detail that started it all.
